UNCLE PAULEY DELBO, IVER FACER, & BARRY QUICK
LAVELLE — Paul J. “Uncle Pauley” Delbo Sr., 64, of 15 Bungalow Road, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Mount Carmel, Feb. 10, 1951, he was a son of the late Emery Delbo and the late Sophia (Romick) Delbo. He attended Mount Carmel schools.
Paul retired from the Dana Corporation in Reading where he was employed for many years.
He was a member of Christ United Lutheran Church in Gordon, the United Steel Workers union, and the Good Fellowship club and the Elks lodge, both of Ashland. He was also a member and the president of the F.B. Motorcycle Club.
Uncle Pauley was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and rode his bikes whenever he had a chance to do so. He also loved his dog, Jake.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Delbo Jr., of Shamokin, and Troy Delbo, of Gordon; two grandchildren, Sierra and PJ Delbo III; two sisters, Leona Sweeney, of Mohrsville, and Emily Homanick, of Mount Carmel; two brothers, Emery Delbo, of Shoemakersville, and James Delbo, of Ashland; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Teresa Rockwell.



Iver K. Facer, Jr., 64, of 245 South Beech Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Carrollton, Georgia. Born in Shamokin on July 13, 1955 he was a son of the late Iver K. Facer, Sr. and Ethel (Britton) Facer. He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School. Mr. Facer served in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1993. He retired at the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7). During his career he served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Constellation CV-64 as an Aviation Gasoline Handler. He also served as an Instructor and Collateral Duty Career Information Coordinator. He received the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Iver was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel. Surviving are his two daughters, Theresa Kline and her fiancé Ismael Velez of Georgia and Tina Myers and her husband Jody Myers, Sr. of California; one son, Iver Facer, III and his wife Cynthia of Carrollton, Georgia; five grandchildren, Haylee, Bobby, Tyler, Shane, and Garrett; two brothers, George Facer and his wife Wendy of Hamilton, Virginia and Bruce Facer and his wife Sandy of Strong; Numerous nieces and nephews.


Barry T. Quick, 69, of White’s Lane, Fountain Springs, passed away January 3, 2022, with family by his side, at his residence. Born at home in a small farm house in Fountain Springs, October 14, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Leona White Quick. He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School, class of 1971. Following high school, Barry served with the U.S. Army in Germany as a Sharpshooter, specializing in M1 Rifles and Hand Grenades, earning the rank of Specialist 4. He was employed for over forty years at the Tri Sate Envelope Company of Ashland, as a machine adjuster, until his retirement. Barry was an avid lover of classic automobiles and motorcycles. He especially enjoyed restoring and working on his 1968 Mercury Cougar, 1969 Mustang, and his Lamborghini kit car. Barry was also a skilled wood worker and craftsman and has built many beautiful clocks in past years. Most importantly, Barry was always a compassionate and loving husband to his late wife, and an amazing father to his son. He belonged to the Fat Bastards Motorcycle Club, Fountain Springs, Ashland V.F.W. Post 6754, and the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland. Preceding him in death was his wife, Deborah Decastro Quick, passing January 14, 2007.
